“Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future”

When I was a kid....
- The first book I ever read was Rally the Raccoon who could. I think it was given to me by my first grade teacher.
I think I love this book because it was the first book I read completely through all by myself. It was about a Raccoon who mother would walk him to school everyday. His mother wanted him to walk by himself sometimes and he failed the first few attempts. He would get lost on his way or not go at all. He kept trying over and over again and eventually he did it. He made it to school on time all by himself and he didn't get lost. Moral of the story,If not at first you don't succeed, try, try again. That book taught me not to give up on anything. I am especially reminded of that book being that getting my master's is so important to me, but it is also challenging. Its going to take sometime getting use to. It might be hard, but I am not quitting.
- My favorite toy was my cabbage patch doll with red hair my grandmother gave me for my 4th birthday. My second most favorite toy was my bike my dad got for me when I was 5 years old. My old bike is still at my parents house in the shed. It's rusted, but I think I will be able to refurbish it. I would like to do that some day for my first born child.
